Don’t toss your unwanted clothes or housewares in the trash. Instead, make them available to someone else and give them a second life. There are many options available to you:

• Consider hosting a rummage sale.

• There are also several organizations in the area that accept donations of clothing and housewares. The City of Madison maintains a list of organizations that accept donations - check each organization’s website to see what and how they accept items.

• And of course there are always online exchanges, such as NextDoor and Facebook.
